Even better when the host is award-winning comedian, trivia fanatic and writer-performer, Al Murray! And boy do we love seeing campaigns that deliver that perfect synergy – what better way to spread the word than beer mat advertising in Pubs.
Quest are pitting passionate pub quiz teams from around the country against each other in Al Murray’s Great British Pub Quiz in a bid to take home the glory (a Great British Pub Quiz tankard and £1,000) every week. And all in front a live studio audience, with resident know-it-all, brainiac and much-loved national institution, Shaun Williamson as resident barman, keeping score and going head to head with a member of each team in a special round known as ‘Beat the Barman’.
To promote the new series, Quest are advertising on branded beer mats in Tabletalk’s network of Pubs across the country. What better way to entice the masses to tune in for a bit of telly or perhaps even enter their own pub quiz officianados into the weekly battle than on a medium like beer mats. Talk about delivering a relevant message at a relevant time and in a perfect environment – and incredibly cost effectively too. We know we’ll be tuning in.. it’s British entertainment at its best.
