Everybody who’s anybody will have seen O2’s latest TV ad where a cat decides to be less disinterested feline and more fun, carefree dog to seize the day. The campaign is all about encouraging customers to explore technology and embrace what it can do for you.  It’s proved so popular that the ad had over 1.5 million hits on YouTube in its first week!  I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of cat v dog?!

Staying true to form, O2 are promoting their TU Go app on tablewraps in wifi coffee shops in August leading creatively with the inimitable cat. The campaign calls for O2 customers to pull up a chair and download the TU Go app to make calls or text from any device (mobile, laptop or tablet) as long as they have access to wifi.

It all makes perfect sense when you think that coffee shops are fast becoming a vital bridge between home and office, especially now that the majority offer their customers free wifi. With no time limit on your stay and easy access to coffee and snack essentials, coffee shops are a vibrant, social technology hub where business and leisure naturally coincide.

The campaign was planned by Zenithoptimedia and Meridian Outdoor and booked through Posterscope
