Coffee Cup Campaign

To promote their Switch and Share scheme to get consumers to change their current account, Nationwide used Coffee Cups across the country to get their message into the hands of consumers as they were engaging in everyday spending.  

Coffee breaks are exactly the kind of time during the day when we get life admin done, such as banking on the go, so targeting the campaign in Coffee Shops was really effective in advertising to consumers in a relevant way.  To make the message even more relevant, all the cafes that took part in the activity offered their customers contactless card payment.  Coffee Cups are especially useful with this since takeaway coffee is ordered, paid for and collected at the point of sale.
