Beer Mats & Tablewraps Campaign

To launch in new cities in the UK, Uber chose to raise awareness with the public and drive app downloads using a combination of NFC-enabled ambient media, namely Beer Mats in Pubs, as well as Tablewraps in a mixture of Coffee Shops and University Student Unions.  NFC technology allows Android smartphones instant access to content with a simple tap, much like Oyster travel and contactless bank cards.  As a disruptive app at the forefront of the taxi market, using NFC fit perfectly with the Uber brand.
