If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that life today is busier than ever before and opportunities to steal time and indulge in that sought after me time are few and far between.  So when an opportunity does arise, there is something especially satisfying about it.  Coffee breaks are one of those moments we get to take a breath, escape from the daily hubbub and if we’re lucky, take a few minutes to lose ourselves in the pages of a story that transports us to another time and place.

Macmillan have injected a bit of excitement into daily coffee breaks across London with a campaign on Coffee Cups promoting the latest title in #1 New York Times best-selling author, Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone crime series.  X promises to be Grafton’s darkest and most chilling novel yet featuring a remorseless serial killer who leaves no trace of his crimes.  The test is whether Kinsey can prove her case against him before she ends up his next victim.

The Coffee Cups are a fantastic way to get X into the hands of women aged 25-44 taking a well-deserved break from their busy days and inspire them to take a few minutes to read an extract from the book.  Once you start, you won’t stop as Grafton has a way of hooking her readers in until the very last line.

The activity is running in 34 Coffee Shops across London for 2 weeks from the 24th of August.

The campaign was planned and booked through Posterscope and Total Media.
