Be Clear on Cancer is a government initiative aimed at improving the early diagnosis of cancer by raising awareness with the public and educating us about the signs and symptoms. It’s very much about encouraging people to see their GP as soon as humanly possible to give them the best chance of catching cancer early and beating it.
PHE have run a multitude of Be Clear on Cancer campaigns with us over the years. Pharmacies have been identified as the ideal space to reach people with a sensitive message when they are actively thinking about health. The majority of pharmacy bags are taken home where the medication is kept in the bag and reused time and again which further reinforces the message.
The latest activity to go live is Breast Cancer related with the campaign running in 2,900 Pharmacies nationally for 4 weeks. This equates to 2.9m pharmacy bags with the opportunity to be seen extending the reach to 8.4m people. The media is an extremely cost effective way to get your message into the hands of the right people at the right time.
The campaign was planned and booked through MEC, Carat and Posterscope.
