If you were asked to name a place that suits both work and play, where would it be? Coffee Shop no doubt! With the UK coffee market growing at a rate of 8 times that of the economy, it’s safe to say that coffee has never been more popular.
The coffee shop environment lends itself well to all manner of needs, from the mad-rush-to-the-office pit stop to grab that first caffeine fix, to a leisurely chat with friends, a place to watch the world go by or to carry out business meetings and work away from the office. It has its metaphorical feet in both worlds so to speak.
When it comes to how we engage with and use technology, our needs are constantly evolving and the latest innovation sees systems suited to work and play converge on a single platform.
Microsoft invested in coffee culture media for the launch of Office 365 in March this year and are back with a second campaign! This time it’s to support their Windows 8 brand with a campaign specifically targeting environments where work and play coincide. The activity is running for 2 weeks in December using both tablewrap and coffee sleeves across 100 outlets nationally, just in time for the Christmas sales season.
The campaign was planned by UM London and booked by Rapport Worldwide.
